Barbies from the Dolls of the World Collection

Being together for almost fifty years every couple can find something to learn from these two. Their love began in 1961 when Ken was introduced into the Barbie line. Ken has taken many of the same historic roles as his go-getter girlfriend but has stayed much more on the state side (Barbie). The fake couple got real with the world on Valentines Day 2004 when Mattel announced that after 43 years together the two would be breaking-up, and then Barbie shocked the world even more when she started dating Australian Stud Blaine (History of Barbie: Time line). After, many years of persuasion and countless devotion on Valentines Day 2011 Barbie and Ken got back together (Barbie). Here is to another fifty more years together.  

International

Barbie is an icon known all across the globe in 150 countries where they are sold. As it can be found on the My Toy World  A major online toy store based out of Toy Kingdom in Austria "Introduced in Europe in 1961, Barbie has helped commemorate historical events...Summit™ Barbie® in the 1980s, celebrating the end of the Cold War...Freundschafts (Friendship) Barbie® in 1992, commemorating the historic tearing down of the Berlin Wall" (My Toy World). Another testament to her international status is the "Dolls of the World" collection which represents Barbie's ability to bring people together even if it is just to play.
